Welcome to my website. I am a D.O.N.A certified Birth Doula serving the greater Evansville area. In additon to Doula services I offer private birth plan consultations and private childbirth education sessions rooted in "freedom of choice based on knowledge of alternatives". I encourage the families I serve to seek evidence-based care and in line with that vision, I am pleased to announce that I will be working through Lamaze International's Passion for Birth Childbirth Educator mentorship program. I am very excited for this opportunity to continue my education and enhance my teaching skills, incorporating more innovative and exciting teaching techniques into the childbirth classes I offer to families in the Evansville area.
I believe that all women have the right to make informed choices, deciding for themselves what the best decisions are for them and their babies, working together with their caregivers as part of a team. *normal birth: defined as waiting for labor to start on its own, with its own rhythm and pace, without routine medical intervention, choosing upright positions to facilitate birth, having continuous skilled support and immediate skin-to-skin contact between mom and baby.
